Financial Assistance Screening
CompleteCare wants to do everything it can to help your patients get their healthcare bill taken care of...from manageable payment arrangements, Medicaid processing, or through financial assistance (charity) write-offs. With financial assistance, we can help you screen patients to determine their eligibility for charity within your specific guidelines. Here is our standard process:
CC will evaluate patient/guarantors for financial assistance in the following instances:
– Patient/guarantor contacts CC and states that they are unable to make payment on their healthcare bill.
– CC contacts patient/guarantor (courtesy call) and is informed by the patient/guarantor that they are unable to make payment on their healthcare bill.
– CC receives correspondence from the patient/guarantor in which the inability to pay on the account is documented.
Here is CC's standard screening process:
- Initial discussions with all potential charity eligible patient
- Determination of possible applicant
- Mail outs & associated costs (postage, forms, subsequent mailings and forms, etc.)
- Calls to/from the patient/guarantor
- Research
- Compilation
- Determination of potential eligibility
- Delivery
- Add on eligible CC patient/guarantor accounts
If, during the initial screening, the patient/guarantor is found to be ineligible for financial assistance, he/she will be informed of this information, and manageable payment arrangements may be made.
